ig61_sound_barrier_02_02Преминаването на звуковата бариера се оказва, че не е само звуков феномен. Нова снимка на военен изстребител на САЩ показва, че преминаването на Мах 1 (звуковата бариера равна на 1192км/ч.) може да бъде видяна като красив визуален ефект.

Тези широко разпространени нови снимки, показват преминаването на свръхзвуковата бариера на F-22 Raptor самолети над палубата на самолетоносача USS John C. Stennis. Снимките са направени при тренировъчни полети в залива на  Аляска на 22 Юни 2009 г.

 

090517-nuclear-bomb-trinity-02Визуалният феномен, който не винаги се наблюдава, е бил заснет първо при  детониране на атомна бомба, а след това и при изстрелване на совалки и космически кораби. При мисия на Аполо 11 до луната през 1969г. са направени и първите снимки.

Феноменът още не е изучен. Учените го наричат конус от пара, ударна яка или ударно яйце или Prandtl–Glauert.

Ето какво мислят учените, че се случва на практика:

Слой от  водни капки може да остане в капан между двете повърхности на самолета притискани от високото налягане. При влажна условия водната кондензация се събира между двата гребена на звуковите вълни, генерирани от самолета. Този ефект не е задължително да съвпада с преминаване на звуковата бариера .

Truman (CVN 75). The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group was recently relieved after completing nearly four months in the Persian Gulf in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

James Montgomery, of Yukon, Okla., reaches the sound barrier during a supersonic flyby over USS Enterprise (CVN 65). Enterprise is one of seven aircraft carriers involved in Summer Pulse 2004. Summer Pulse 2004 is the simultaneous deployment of seven aircraft carrier strike groups (CSGs), demonstrating the ability of the Navy to provide credible combat power across the globe, in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces. Summer Pulse is the Navy’s first deployment under its new Fleet Response Plan (FRP).
